HERE’S A HEADS-UP ON HOW TO PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN (ON THE RIGHT PILLOW!)
Tuesday, December 13th, 2011We’re told by the experts that pillows have a shelf-life and should be thrown out after a few years. That’s all well and good, but if you haven’t been shopping for manchester for a while, you’re in for a big surprise because there’s SO much choice out there!.
OK, so how do you go about finding the right pillow to suit you?
A good place to start is to work out what your dominant sleeping position is. If you sleep on your side or have a larger build, then a firm, high pillow is for you, but if you’re a tummy sleeper, then you will probably go for a soft, low one. If you’re comfortable on your back, then a pillow of medium height and feel is best
There are also many different types of pillows, including latex, wool, cotton, down or feathers or synthetic ones – and each has its own set of characteristics. Latex are the firmest pillows and hold their shape very well, wool is long-lasting and an excellent choice for asthma sufferers whilst down or feather pillows mould easily into a comfortable shape, but these may cause allergies. The cheapest pillow is dacron – which doesn’t have much ventilation or airflow and isn’t a very comfortable option.
If you have difficulty sleeping or suffer from neck or back pain, then ask your manchester supplier for a special therapeutic pillow. These also come in different sizes, materials etc and are designed to meet specific chiropractic or orthopaedic needs.
We spend about thirty percent of our lives asleep, so it is vital that we make ourselves as comfortable as possible during that time. It is a matter of comfort and personal preference however, so it’s worth shopping around for manchester that meets your needs.
