Toy Model Train | Lionel train

We have bought a 1975 Lionel Cannonball 027 model train for my son-in-law, for Christmas, ( he had his set he loved stolen as a boy) but, it does not have the tracks, will any 027 gauge/size tracks work for that set. Any help really really appreciated. Thanks all.

Any 027 track will work.
